Hinckley-based aerospace manufacturer Sigma Components has signed a contract with Sharing in Growth UK Limited (SIG) for a business support programme valued at over £2m over five years. 

MMC Hardmetal (a group company of the Mitsubishi Materials Corporation) and Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Ltd (AML) are collaborating on new aerospace projects. The partnership began at an event at the AMRC earlier this year where Mitsubishi was showcasing its brand new range of iMX exchangeable head end mills. 

Coventry engineering company PowerKut has expanded its footprint after securing £1.2m of funding. The business has moved out of rented accommodation and purchased two bases, including a new headquarters. 

Delcam Professional Services has increased the range of five-axis machining equipment within its Advanced Manufacturing Facility with the addition of a Mori Seiki NMV 5000 machine.

Altogether, seven UK companies participated in this high-quality aerospace B2B event held in Europe's fourth biggest aerospace market -- and they racked up more than 100 meetings over two days.

Rolls-Royce today welcomed a decision by Japan Airlines to order 31 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, which are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. The Trent XWB, the world’s most efficient engine flying today, will power 18 A350-900 and 13 A350-1000 aircraft.

Precision sheet metal manufacturer KMF has invested over £800,000 in new machinery with the support of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.
