Decarbonising the Midlands Aerospace Cluster

Plain map

Our major aircraft and aero engine manufacturers are making big commitments around achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The DMAC (Decarbonising the Midlands Aerospace Cluster) study is being funded by DESNZ and IUK to plan how supply chain companies in one of the largest aerospace clusters in the world will achieve these ambitious targets while remaining globally competitive.Abatement montage

The DMAC partners will create and develop the first credible place-based industrial decarbonisation plan for an aerospace manufacturing cluster. It will do this by engaging with key players along aerospace supply chains in the Midlands region to identify the key manufacturing processes and operations that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and engage with local expertise to assist with the assessment of proposed solutions.

For a more in depth introduction, here is our launch presentation.
