An innovative miniature surveillance helicopter is benefiting from the high precision manufacturing capabilities of Precision Micro, Europe’s leading photo chemical etching specialist. 

The miniature unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), features an array of small, lightweight and extremely precise components manufactured by the Midlands company, a division of global engineering group, Meggitt PLC.

UTC Aerospace Systems is to take a ten year lease for new office space in Solihull. The lease is for the whole of the building FORE 1. The move consolidates more than 150 staff from three local offices. UTC will use the FORE 1 building for a combination of research and technology activities, finance services and to house corporate staff.

A Hinckley aerospace manufacturer is celebrating after securing a contract worth £25 million over 10 years to supply key aero-engine components to Rolls-Royce. Sigma Components, which is based at Dodwells Road Industrial Estate, will provide a variety of pipe assemblies that transport fluids and air around the engine for the programme.
