Teaching
The University delivers a range of courses in the areas of Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Production and Manufacturing Engineering at Foundation Degree, Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science levels. We have a range of accreditations for these programmes from Professional Engineering Institutions.
All our engineering courses are offered part-time with curriculum which includes the advanced technology subjects needed for aerospace and other high-tech industries. Qualifications in specialist areas such as; environmental performance management, lean engineering, embedded systems and advanced materials that are of specific relevance to aerospace industries are available. We also accredit in company training programmes.
Research and consultancy
The University of Derby is also able to offer expert support to small aerospace companies a variety of areas including; computer aided design and manufacture, environmental lifecycle analysis, environmental design, product liability, lean engineering, manufacturing and expert systems.
