Government policy on aerospace in the West Midlands: have your say!
Last year the Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street was guest of honour at the MAA Dinner. This year the West Midlands Combined Authority’s (WMCA) Director of Strategy, Julia Goldsworthy, has kindly agreed to come to November’s MAA Members Meeting and AGM and talk with us about how our sector and the WMCA can work more closely together via the upcoming WMCA Local Industrial Strategy (the “LIS”, currently out for consultation, click here).
The MAA has already been working closely with the WMCA team that is drafting the aerospace part of the LIS so they’ll be able to set out their initial ideas for MAA members to discuss and improve. Having Julia at our Members Meeting and AGM is an important opportunity for us – and you. Do make the most of it.
We’re being hosted by MAA member Solihull College, which offers one of the Midlands’ leading aviation training programmes including MRO – so we’ll learn a lot more about that too. Click here to see the many aviation and aircraft engineering courses the College offers.
Finally, of course, we’ll formally announce the names of the three new -- or re-elected -- MAA Directors elected for two year terms. Read more about the MAA Board of directors here.
The event is for members of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance only. Click here to see how to join the MAA.
