Helix appoints Warren Roberts as Chief Operating Officer as it expands its world-class electric motor and inverter technology into new sectors
Helix (a trading name of Integral Powertrain Ltd), the UK manufacturer of the world’s most power-dense electric motors and inverters, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Warren Roberts as Chief Operating Officer to help deliver growth in the next phase of its global expansion.
Warren joins Helix following eight years as Managing Director of the composites division at Prodrive, the advanced engineering group. As an experienced leader of rapidly growing teams working on high-performance projects, he brings a unique mix of commercial, engineering, and operational expertise to Helix.
Before Prodrive, Warren served in numerous major engineering firms, with a focus on operational expertise. These included appointments as Group Manufacturing Director at JCB, Managing Director of Alumasc’s precision engineering division, and Managing Director of MAHLE UK.

Earlier this year, Helix appointed Dr. Mike Bolen as the company’s Director for North America, strengthening the company’s global network while enabling it to deliver world-class products to customers in the region.
Helix’s global headquarters and state-of-the-art production facility are based in Milton Keynes, UK. The company is a leading supplier of high-performance electric powertrains, including fully scalable high-power-density electric motors, inverters, and electric drive units, engineered and manufactured in-house.
Its technologies have already been applied in several high-growth electric mobility markets, including top-level motorsport in Formula E; within hypercars and supercars such as the Czinger 21c an Aston Martin Valkyrie; vertical take-off and landing aircraft; space launch providers; high-performance motorcycles; and watercraft with Seabird technologies in the E1 Race Series.
