Intelligent Energy Ltd

Intelligent Energy (IE) is a UK fuel cell engineering company focused on development and commercialisation of its PEM fuel cell technologies. IE has been a pioneer in zero emission, hydrogen fuel cell propulsion for aero applications since 2005. IE powered the first manned flight of a fuel cell aircraft with Boeing (2008) then with the ENFICA consortium (2011). IE has worked with Airbus (for multi-functional on-board power systems), supplies fuel cell power modules to global UAV markets, and is a member of the UK HyGEAR consortium, developing hydrogen propulsion systems to fly aircraft, with zero CO2 emissions, by the mid-2020’s.
