Intelligent Energy (IE) is a leader in the development and manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells - from 800W to multi-megawatt - that overcome the limitations of conventional battery and internal combustion engines. IE has been a pioneer in hydrogen fuel cell propulsion for aerospace applications since 2005, powering the first manned fuel cell flight with Boeing (2008) then with the ENFICA consortium (2011). IE is also involved in Government-backed programmes including H2GEAR and more recently, project HEIGHTS, as well as supplying fuel cell products to global UAV markets
