The team has been working hard to obtain the approval, which covers KATO CoilThread®and the associated manufacturing functions at the Southwell site. KATO CoilThread® is the world’s leading wire thread insert that is manufactured from their Southwell site and exported globally. The aerospace industry has numerous applications for KATO CoilThread® including seating, engine assembly and dashboard instrumentation. A passenger aircraft can contain in excess of 300,000 inserts. With KATO CoilThread® Tangless, installation and removal time is 40% quicker than using traditional inserts that contain a tang that requires breaking off and accounting for.
