The Midlands Aerospace Alliance has run two successful ATEP programmes to support aerospace supply chain companies to develop new technologies since 2006, with the support of Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund.

The projects have supported the development of real new commercialisable technologies by supply chain technology partnerships involving small companies like G&O Springs and Indestructible Paint, mid-sized companies like Aeromet and Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, and end-users including Airbus, Messier Dowty and Rolls-Royce, some with the support of the Universities of Birmingham and Wolverhampton. For more background click here.

The MAA Innovation & Technology Group has governed the programmes. The group includes senior engineering managers from companies like Advanced Composites Group, Aero Engine Controls, Goodrich Actuation Systems, HS Marston, ITP Engines UK and Rolls-Royce

The group is now hosting this event to showcase the outcomes of these projects and support companies to develop new technologies in future.

  • Learn exactly how MAA member companies have worked with their customers and research organisations to develop new technologies that give them competitive advantages.
  • Consider how your company could be part of a future collaborative technology project.
  • Understand how to obtain technology funding for your company now.

The event is being held in the prestigious new Manufacturing Technology Centre near Coventry.
