10:00 - 16:00, James Watt Campus, Birmingham Metropolitan College
This is an invitation for all spring designers based in the West Midlands to come along for a hands-on demonstration of the latest version of the world-leading spring design software developed by The Institute of Spring Technology (IST) specifically for the Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (ATEP).
This version of IST’s leading spring design software is a world first, containing data that allows users to evaluate their spring designs for fatigue life and relaxation performance at temperature for the various titanium and exotic alloy grades used in the aerospace industry. Partners on the Aerospring project are G&O Springs, the Reliable Spring Company, Alloy Wire International and the Institute of Spring Technology with end users Aero Engine Controls and BAe Systems helping to guide the project.
The day will include both a presentation of the project’s findings as well as the opportunity to tour the James Watt Campus and find out how Birmingham Metropolitan College can help your business. IST experts will also be on hand during the day to both answer any questions regarding spring design and to give hands on training in the use of the software.
This is a free event but space is limited. To reserve a place, please contact Steve Boyd on 01527 830994 or alternatively email aerospring@springs.aero.
