MAA Conference 2020

Rolls Royce Learning and Development Centre, Derby

This is the page for the MAA conference 2020, postponed from 19 March to a date in October due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Bookings already made have been automatically transferred.

Stop press! It is now clearer that the conference may need to be postponed until the autumn; we'll keep everyone posted.

Driving aerospace forward

Our latest conference will explore how we can respond to key challenges in our industry in order to create stability and support growth.

2020 is a pivotal year. Although there was a decline in aircraft deliveries in 2019 in the wake of Boeing’s 737 MAX difficulties and there are a number of external threats to the industry, the overall orderbook remains robust and growth could recover with the right actions.

Businesses that tap into customer insights, responding to challenges and opportunities promptly, could gain competitive advantage.

Joining our conference gives you the chance to get ahead of the industry by exploring key challenges and opportunities impacting aerospace companies. There will be three, insightful sessions delivered by leaders in the aerospace industry:

Session 1: Global growth
Creating fresh opportunities to grow despite the current market challenges including climate change, coronavirus and Brexit.

Session 2: Industry uncertainty
Addressing industry risks, issues and disruptions to aircraft programmes as well as exploring rapid moves in game-changing technologies such as additive manufacturing and sustainable solutions.

Session 3: Boosting Midlands aerospace
Working together and investing to strengthen the Midlands aerospace industry.

Keynote industry speakers include:

  • Simon Carlisle, Strategy Director, Civil Aerospace, Rolls-Royce (tbc).
  • Stephen Cowan, Senior Vice-President Operations, GKN Aerostructures & Systems Europe and Asia.
  • Dominic Cartwright, Chief Executive Officer, Gardner Aerospace.
  • Clive Lewis, Managing Director, Achieving the Difference.
  • keynote speaker from Team Tempest (new UK military aircraft programme)

There will also be many opportunities, throughout the day, to network with companies from across the industry.

Full agenda to follow soon . . .
