AS9100:2016 was due for release in April 2016 building on the existing AS9100 rev C and the recent ISO9001:2015 standards, currently in draft form with release due in the near future. This new release continues the trend towards more stringent customer expectations with regard to quality and reliability within the aerospace and defence sector, placing an ever increasing importance on AS9100 as a method of ensuring consistent quality and reliability throughout the supply chain. Kiwa are an internationally recognised certification body (UNAVIAcert), who are leveraging their global expertise into the UK aerospace and defence market, are kindly assisting in providing resources for this training after recently becoming a MAA member.
This intense 2 day workshop is for the development and implementation of AS9100:2016 (Rev D). Day 1 is aimed at both those managers who need to understand the implications of the new quality standard on their organisation and those quality professionals responsible for the quality system. Day 2 is aimed at professionals managing quality systems and related day to day activities.
Day1 provides an awareness and overview of implementing the new revision including the impacts and benefits to your organisation, as well as being the foundation Day 2 is built upon. Aimed at providing information for both managers requiring an understanding of the implications to business and quality professionals with the responsibility for ensuring compliance. Day 1 maybe taken without a requirement to attend day 2.
Day 2 is focused on implementation requirements, process effectiveness measures, process based procedures, certification approach and demonstrating compliance. Primarily aimed at those quality professionals with the responsibility for ensuring day to day compliance and conducting audits. Day 2 must be taken with Day 1
The training programme is aimed at business managers and management representatives responsible for development, implementation or continued compliance against AS 9100 (and 9110 / 9120) and elements of Nadcap (testing) with consideration to aerospace. Delegates should have an understanding and working knowledge of quality management systems (from manufacturing, service, research and or the laboratory environment). Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. David Burns will be conducting the training, with over 20 years' experience in consultancy and training both within the UK and internationally he is considered to be a true practitioner from the aerospace and defence engineering sector.

- Implementation requirements of AS 9100 (the detail and relation to ISO 9001)
- PEM’s - process effectiveness measures (what customers require)
- Process based procedures – input and output measurement requirements
- Certification approach to assessment against AS 9100 (what assessors look for)
- Internal auditing and reporting requirements against AS 9100 (demonstrating compliance)
