MAA offices, Coventry
The MAA is currently working on the Project Management (PM) Workstream of the Aerospace Growth Partnership's new Employer Skills Programme (ESP) which is being designed so that Primes can agree a PM standard for UK Aerospace and communicate it to all suppliers. This will enable Project Management skills and experience to be practised and consistently demonstrated throughout the SME community in the Aerospace sector at a professionally recognised standard.
We are currently looking for companies interested in engaging in the work stream, which includes a workshop hosted by MAA and NWAA to address the following topics:
- Establish an indicator of current project management standards (review the status of an existing project and risk management capability model- does it need updating?)
- Industry experience of current training courses (effectiveness, relevance, impact on capability)
- Feedback from supply chain on improving course content
- Demand assessment (how do we keep the supply chain involved through the Workstream?)
From these workshops we are then looking to identify 20 companies across the UK to take part in the pilot for the work stream which includes funded places for benchmarking, mentoring and training on project management.
The Midlands workshop will take place on the 16th September and will run from 9:30 am-2:00 pm. The event will be held at the MAA offices in Coventry.
We only have limited availability for the workshop and therefore will only put forward a limited number of suppliers for the fully funded part of the programme.
