Companies across the Midlands are contributing
A consortium of UK industrial, technology and engineering businesses from across the aerospace, automotive and medical sectors, has come together to produce medical ventilators for the UK.
The consortium has been working hard to start production of a range of ventilator design options to meet a high-level specification for a Rapidly Manufactured Ventilator System developed by clinicians and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
Over 20 Midlands aerospace manufacturers have stepped up to the ventilatorchallengeuk and have been putting in a brilliant effort to support the cause, some of which have been working night and day, over the last week, to meet the ambitious targets.
It’s not just the well-known aerospace brands that have been helping. Companies up and down the supply chain are all hard at work to help ensure the country gets the ventilators it needs, including suppliers of raw metals, makers of tooling for cutting machines, metal machinists, spring makers and companies putting special surface finishes on parts.
We feel proud every time we hear about another Midlands aerospace company joining the mission including:
- A&M EDM
- AE Aerospace
- Alloy Wire
- Arrowsmith
- Boneham and Turner
- CBE+
- Exactaform
- G&O Springs
- Gould Alloys
- HSM Engineering
- Manufacturing Technology Centre
- Meggitt

- Nasmyth
- Poeton Industries
- Produmax
- Reginson Engineering
- Rolls-Royce
