Free training is available for Midlands Aerospace Alliance members thanks to the MAA's participation in the European TransNetAero project. The aim of these professional development courses is to help companies enhance skills and capabilities.

Inspection and measurement technologies  This course will be held at the University of Derby, starting on 16 February 2015.  This course will bring participants fully up to date in the latest techniques of measurement and inspection as applicable to the aerospace industry, including how measurements are evaluated and the national and international regulatory and assurance frameworks for measurements.  Modules include: Principles of measurement Sensors and signals Optics and ultrasonic measurement and inspection systems Measurement in manufacturing Quality assurance and systems Mechanical metrology
