Calling all suppliers to aircraft and engine development programmes

MAA offices, Coventry CV3 2TX

8:30 - 10:30

Midlands Aerospace Alliance offices

Coventry, CV3 2TX

Does your company supply parts, equipment or services to aircraft or engine development programmes? The MAA needs to understand this sector of the industry better so we can help you more effectively. Can you spare a little time to educate us?

We have set up this breakfast-time workshop to help us to understand the (sometimes-) forgotten supply chain that goes into developing new products or services for the growing aerospace market. If you are involved in the provision of specialist services, equipment or manufacturing for research, design, testing, validation and other requirements of development programmes you are likely to be helping the UK's aerospace sector to drive forward. With this in mind we have initiated a series of workshops for MAA members and other interested parties to ask you about your experiences working in this specialist market.

Do you offer any of the activities listed below? If so we would like you to be involved:

  • One-off specials
  • Prototypes
  • Aliens and strangers
  • Design for manufacture
  • Manufacture of tooling, jigs and fixtures
  • Manufacture of specialist equipment
  • Process development
  • Product development (own product or as a design house)
  • Development of surface or material treatments
  • Materials development
  • Provide quality services
  • Simulation and verification
  • Testing equipment, facilities and services
  • Software development
  • Anything else that you feel we may have missed . . .

This event is open for members and non-members of the MAA to attend.

What will we do with the information?

The MAA wants to promote this sector, which is a core strength of our aerospace cluster, more widely. That's why we need to understand it better. Promotion could be at the airshows like Farnborough, on our website, in our magazine, through the NATEP new technology programme, or other ways you might like to recommend.
