Rolls-Royce Learning and Career Development Centre, Derby, DE24 8BG
14 Oct 2011, 08:30 – 11:00.
Organised by Rolls-Royce and Midlands Aerospace Alliance
MAA members are invited to come and learn about a brand new apprenticeship scheme for the engineering sector that could help your company.
In the Midlands Manufacturing Apprenticeship programme, with government support, Rolls-Royce has committed to develop and train apprentices for the wider engineering sector, as part of its investment in a new multi-million pound state-of-the-art training academy dedicated to training the apprentices of the future.
Rolls-Royce is currently training more apprentices than its business requires on an 11 month programme to a Level 2 qualification; the first year of the apprenticeship. In July 2011 the first 7 trainees were recruited to the Rolls-Royce standard and started on the new rolling Midland Manufacturing Apprenticeship programme. The intention is that every 12 weeks, 8 new trainees will join the programme, if we’ve successfully placed the apprentices with a quality engineering employer. Rolls-Royce will work with the trainees to find suitable employment at engineering employers where they can go on to complete their training and achieve a full apprenticeship framework.
Rolls-Royce and the Midlands Aerospace Alliance believe these new apprentices could be a source of future capability, and a great addition to your company, and we’d like to invite you to find out more about this new programme and the excellent apprentices now being trained at this information session.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
Please note that with space limited, we only have places at this meeting for engineering and manufacturing companies.
