Join Dr Andrew Mair, chief executive of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance, on this mission to get inside the Swiss aerospace industry -- courtesy of the Swiss Aerospace Cluster, one of the MAA's five European partners in the TransNetAero project.

Why attend?

This event is set up for European aerospace suppliers of any size with an interest in:

  • latest supplier requirements from major aerospace customers

  • participation in a European networking event to promote their company

  • meeting and networking with companies from around Europe

  • learning more about how research centres across Europe can help them adopt new product and process technologies and manage their own supply chains

  • learning about a new program to enhance the skills of aerospace employees

Following successful events in the Midlands (UK) and Normandy (France) this third TransNetAero event is being held in a central aerospace region in Switzerland, which is part of an aerospace "super cluster" in northern Switzerland, southern Germany (Baden Württemberg and Bavaria) and Austria.

Supported by the European Union's Interreg programme, the event is free to attend.

* What is TransNetAero?

TransNetAero (Transnational Network for Aerospace) is a network of organisations in six European aerospace regions and small countries which are going to work together and share their resources so that aerospace industry suppliers in each of them can get expert support and knowledge from the others to help them be better prepared to succeed against global scale competition. The participants are Wallonia (Belgium), Normandy (France), Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Midlands (United Kingdom). Future events will be held in the other regions during 2013-15, -- focusing on different major customers and technology centres. For more about the TransNetAero project, click here.
