This week's agenda . . . help to get started with additive manufacturing

Following the last meeting's tour of additive manufacturing facilities in the Midlands that companies can use for their additive manufacturing projects, this week we'll be looking at the help available in the form of training for you and colleagues, subsidised consultancy from the experts, and grant funding for your next steps.

  • Ruaridh Mitchinson – Senior Research Engineer, MTC, How does my business start in Additive Manufacturing – How to engage with the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing and an overview of our AM training

  • Miguel Fernandez-Vicente – Advanced Research Engineer, MTC, Going through the Additive Manufacturing Journey - An example of how NCAM works with companies that are new to AM to evaluate their parts for AM

  • Dimitris Katsanis, Founder and CEO - Metron Advanced Equipment Ltd, The Metron additive manufacturing journey

  • MAA additive manufacturing expert team (Pamela Farries, Peter Knight and Stan Payne), Finding your best route into additive manufacturing, learning how to get started, lessons from what your peers achieved in the DRAMA programme.

More about the meeting

Come along with your coffee! Arrive early if you can -- like a "real" meeting -- to help us start on time. In fact, feel free to join a few minutes early to say hello.

You’ll be able to send us your questions and comments and network with other participants during the meeting.

And, although the meeting is nominally an hour, we often stay behind for 15 minutes more discussion and networking, just like a normal meeting -- all are welcome!

(All that's missing is the biscuits!)
