Indian aerospace sector briefing

India’s public and private aerospace sector is buoyant. HAL’s partners and suppliers are looking for UK technology partners to help bolster the Indian aerospace supply chain in order to build the capacity and capability to take on offset work and expansion.

This briefing will give Midlands companies:

  • an overview of the Indian aerospace sector and the key Indian companies operating in the sector
  • an introduction to a forthcoming trade mission and the benefits of participation.

UK Trade and Investment is organising a trade mission to India from 29 November – 2 December 2010 so more UK companies can meet key senior executives from major India aerospace companies including:

  • Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)
  • Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
  • Godrej and Boyce
  • other Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai-based manufacturers and suppliers involved in the aerospace supply chain. 

The draft agenda for the briefing is as follows:

  • Overview of the Indian aerospace market and supply chain opportunities 
  • UK primes' activities and plans in the Indian market 
  • Trading with India
  • Overview of HAL, L&T, Mahindra, and Godrej
  • Example of supply chain development in India 
  • Details of the mission
