This workshop

In this workshop we will share the lessons the Midlands Aerospace Alliance has learned about how aerospace suppliers can best develop new business opportunities in the Italian aerospace market.

Italy is "below the radar screen" of many UK aerospace companies.Yet the country has a very successful aerospace industry, with an international perspective, which is Europe's fourth largest after Germany, France and the UK and includes the aircraft makers Alenia Aeronautica, AgustaWestland and Piaggio.

Building Midlands-Italy links 

The MAA has been systematically investing in building links to Italian aerospace since 2011 in order to provide business opportunities for MAA members.

We started by inviting UKTI's Italian aerospace experts to meet and get to know our member companies at the Paris and Farnborough Airshows. At the same time, we developed relationships with our sister aerospace cluster organisations in Italy, especially Torino-Piemonte Aerospace which is most similar to the Midlands.
