Students and staff showcased a number of projects, including the 3D printing capabilities at the college, their flight simulator experience and other aviation and aeronautical facilities at the campus.
The college invested over £2.5 million into the facilities at the Woodlands Campus. The investment was supported by the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership and was opened by Ms Spelman in 2016.
Mr Street said: “I was very impressed with the aviation capabilities I saw at Solihull College & University Centre.
“James and I were able to explore the hangar, talk to students who were passionate about their studies and enjoy a simulator experience.
