MSP is one of the world’s leading spring and stamping suppliers
Located in Redditch, MSP is a specialist manufacturer of springs and stampings for the aerospace sector with over 55 years of experience working with close tolerance drawings using exotic alloys in a vast range of wire sizes. As a key partner in the aerospace supply chain, MSP is passionate about meeting the most stringent standards and providing industry leading levels of quality.
MSP boasts its own dedicated aerospace engineering team with over half a century of experience who are dedicated to providing a bespoke and customer focused service. The aerospace team ensures it supports all customers right from the initial sketch all the way through to the final delivery. The Redditch based manufacturer has also held ISO9001/AS9100, NADCAP certification for heat treatment, NADCAP certification for tensile testing and Cyber Essentials certifications for many years meaning their partners can be confident they have all bases covered.
One of MSP’s goals going into the next half a century is to become a leader within sustainable engineering. Testament to which is MSP’s recent Bronze Carbon Literacy Award which made the manufacturer the world’s first Carbon Literate Spring Supplier. Carbon Literacy is defined as “an awareness of the CO2 costs and impacts of everyday actives, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis”.
MSP will continue to implement new, industry leading sustainability procedures which will help to reduce carbon emissions for the business as well as its partners in the aerospace supply chain with the aim to bring the aerospace industry standards in line with the 2050 Net-Zero plan.
Another key goal for the supplier in the next 55 years is to build the next generation of engineers. MSP understands the importance of investing in the next generation and is incredibly passionate about supporting young engineers to build the experts of the future.
This year MSP has joined forces with Primary Engineer, a non-profit organisation that aims to build the engineers of tomorrow by inspiring them through projects, courses and engineering visits which allow children to engage with STEM from an early age, to collaborate on their Moving Vehicles Project. Two of MSP’s engineers have been traveling up to Manchester to work with primary school children on this exciting project by utilising their industry expertise to bring STEM to life. This has inspired the children and created a real buzz around engineering amongst the children.
