Midlands showcased in India

The technology capabilities of the Midlands aerospace cluster were presented to six Indian aerospace groups during an intensive week spent by MAA CEO Dr Andrew Mair in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

At the same time, many Indian companies seek UK technology partners.


The technology capabilities of the Midlands aerospace cluster have been presented to six Indian aerospace groups during an intensive week spent by MAA CEO Dr Andrew Mair in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Andrew reviewed what Midlands companies can offer the burgeoning Indian market as suppliers and partners at meetings with

  • Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL)
  • the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL)
  • major private sector players Larsen & Toubro and Godrej
  • clusters of aerospace suppliers in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

He was joined on the mission, organised by A│D│S and UKTI, by MAA members Pre-Met and Chinn Ltd, part of the Nasmyth Group.

At the same time, many Indian companies seek UK technology partners.
