Meggitt on new LEAP engines

Meggitt on new LEAP engines

MAA member Meggitt has won a contract worth more than £115m from French aero-engine giant Snecma. Meggitt will provide a package of thermal management products for the new LEAP engines which will power the Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737 MAX and the COMAC C919 aircraft.

The contract includes fuel oil heat exchangers which perform at extremely high temperatures, helping to optimise engine efficiency and lowering fuel consumption. The thermal management package will be made in Meggitt's facility in Birmingham.
