Pentaxia were delighted to welcome Derby North MP Amanda Solloway for a site tour on Saturday 19th September. Amanda, besides being our local MP is also Under Secretary of State for Science, Research and Innovation.
During her visit, Amanda met four of the senior Pentaxia team and toured the facility. Stephen Ollier, Managing Director said “It was kind of Amanda to give up her time and visit our company. We are a rapidly growing advanced composite manufacturer and have created over 150 new jobs in recent years. We are continually investing in our own development and it was refreshing to see the drive and enthusiasm that Amanda brings to this important area of Government policy. Having an MP who champions local and national awareness in Science, Research and Innovation has to be good for the people of Derby and our country as a whole. Advanced composites are an exciting area for development, often requiring less material to produce lighter weight structures, they will make a significant impact on reducing environmental pollution”.
