ASDEC has the capability to measure vibration where others fear to tread

A technology group based in Derby has secured first order in the aerospace sector worth more than £22m.

Work with Space Research Centre shows capabilities with small and lightweight system vibration testing.

Vibration measurement and analysis of extremely small and lightweight systems that would be impossible with traditional accelerometer based techniques is handled well by the non-contact Laser Doppler Vibrometers at ASDEC (Advanced Structural Dynamics Evaluation Centre), as demonstrated in a recent piece of work with the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester.
